Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent.
Objective: The Certified Road Construction Technician course is designed to provide participants with the technical skills and practical knowledge necessary for the effective construction and inspection of road infrastructure. The course covers all stages of road construction, including site preparation, earthworks, subgrade stabilization, pavement layering (granular base, asphalt, concrete), drainage installation, and quality control procedures.

Module 2: Road Materials and Testing: Types of Soils and Their Properties, Aggregates and Bituminous Materials, Concrete for Road Construction, Material Sampling and Laboratory Testing, Field Testing Methods (CBR, Density, Moisture), Quality Control of Construction Materials.
Module 3: Earthworks and Subgrade Preparation: Clearing and Grubbing Operations, Excavation, Filling and Compaction Techniques, Subgrade Evaluation and Improvement, Use of Geotextiles and Stabilizers, Equipment Used in Earthworks, Drainage and Erosion Control Measures.
Module 4: Pavement Construction Techniques: Construction of Granular and Stabilized Sub-base/Base, Asphalt Pavement Construction Methods, Rigid Pavement (Concrete) Construction Techniques, Joint Construction and Finishing, Paving Equipment Operation and Maintenance, Curing, Rolling, and Surface Finishing Procedures.
Module 5: Roadside Structures and Safety Measures: Construction of Shoulders and Side Drains, Installation of Culverts and Minor Bridges, Road Signage and Marking, Traffic Safety and Control Devices, Temporary Traffic Management During Construction, Environmental Protection and Waste Handling.
Module 6: Supervision, Maintenance and Documentation: Site Supervision and Work Monitoring, Record-Keeping and Daily Reporting, Preventive and Routine Maintenance of Roads, Identification and Repair of Common Road Defects, Coordination with Engineers and Surveyors, Compliance with Health and Safety Standards.
