Course Id: CFAT/Q0001.

Eligibility: 10+2 or Equivalent.

Objective: The Certified Fire Alarm Technician course is designed to provide participants with the technical knowledge and hands-on skills required to work with fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The course covers system components (control panels, detectors, manual call points, notification devices), wiring and circuit design, installation procedures, programming, troubleshooting, and integration with other life safety systems. 

Duration: Three Month.

Module 1: Introduction to Fire Alarm Systems and Fire Detection Basics: Principles of fire detection and fire alarm system operation, Types of fire alarm systems (conventional, addressable, wireless, hybrid), Components of a fire alarm system (detectors, control panel, annunciators, sounders), Fire detection technologies (smoke, heat, flame, multi-sensor), Role and responsibilities of a Fire Alarm Technician, Overview of fire safety codes and standards (NFPA 72, IS 2189, NBC).

Module 2: Fire Alarm System Design and Planning: System design principles based on building type and occupancy, Layout of zones and loops in conventional and addressable systems, Placement and spacing requirements for detectors and devices, Power supply design and battery backup calculations, Integration with other fire protection systems (sprinklers, suppression), Reading and interpreting fire alarm schematics and drawings.
