Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent is required.
Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Export & Import Documentation course is to equip learners with the essential skills needed to manage documentation processes in international trade. The course covers key export-import documents such as invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and letters of credit. It also includes procedures related to customs clearance, INCOTERMS, regulatory compliance, payment methods, and logistics coordination. Emphasis is placed on accuracy, legal requirements, and timely processing of trade documents.
Duration: Three Months.
How to Enroll and Get Certified in Your Chosen Course:
Step 1: Choose the course you wish to get certified in.

Step 3: Proceed with the enrollment process.
Step 4: Enter your billing details and continue to course fee payment.
Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:
Debit/Credit Card, Wallet, Paytm, Net Banking, UPI, or Google Pay.
Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.
Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.
Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.
Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.

Duration- 60 minutes.
No. of Questions- 30. (Multiple Choice Questions).
Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.
There is no negative marking in this module.

Syllabus:
Module 1: Introduction to International Trade: Basics of international trade and globalization, Difference between export and import, Key stakeholders in foreign trade, Overview of EXIM policy and regulations, Role of DGFT, RBI, and Customs, Importance of export-import documentation, Types of traded goods and services, Modes of international transport, Introduction to INCOTERMS, Role of freight forwarders and CHAs.
Module 2: Export Documentation Process: Steps in export order execution, Proforma Invoice and Commercial Invoice, Packing List and Shipping Bill, Certificate of Origin and Inspection Certificate, Bill of Lading or Airway Bill, Export Declaration Forms (EDF), Role of export licenses and permits, Documentation for customs clearance, Pre-shipment and post-shipment documents, Bank documents for export payment.
Module 3: Import Documentation Process: Import licensing and registration, Purchase Order and Import Invoice, Bill of Entry and Packing List, Letter of Credit and Advance Payment, Insurance Certificate and Freight Invoice, Import Declaration and GATT Valuation, Customs Duty and Tariff structure, Clearance process and warehousing, Documents for bonded warehouse entries, Import documentation under various schemes (EPCG, SEZ, etc.).
Module 4: Payment Methods and Banking Documents
Modes of international payment (LC, DP, DA, TT), UCP 600 guidelines and Letter of Credit format, Documents required for LC negotiation, Role of banks in foreign trade, Risk coverage through ECGC, Foreign exchange management (FEMA basics), Realisation and repatriation of export proceeds, Documentation for Bill Discounting, Payment default and claim procedures, RBI reporting and compliance.
Module 5: Digitalization and Trade Portals: Online documentation and e-filing portals, DGFT portal for IEC and licensing, ICEGATE and customs EDI system, e-SANCHIT for paperless trade, GST on exports and imports, Export Data Processing and Monitoring System (EDPMS), Import Data Processing and Monitoring System (IDPMS), Use of digital signatures and DSC, Filing shipping bills and bills of entry online, Data accuracy and cyber security in EXIM trade.
Module 6: Career Skills and Industry Practices: Roles in export-import companies and freight agencies, How to start an export-import business, Practical training with sample documents, Understanding trade finance documents, Common errors and penalties in documentation, Communication skills for trade coordination, Resume and interview tips for EXIM roles, Government schemes and incentives for exporters, Industry case studies and success stories, Professional certifications and progression in foreign trade.
