Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent.
Objective: The Certified Pre-Press Technician course is designed to prepare learners for the technical and creative demands of the pre-press stage in the printing industry. This course provides comprehensive training in preparing digital files for print production, including layout design, image correction, color management, imposition, trapping, proofing, and output processes. Participants will gain proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and specialized pre-press tools.
Duration: Three Month.
How to Enroll and Get Certified in Your Chosen Course:

Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:

Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.
Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.
Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.
Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.

Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.

Module 2: Desktop Publishing and Layout Design: Basics of DTP software (Adobe InDesign, CorelDRAW, QuarkXPress), Page layout and design principles, Working with master pages, grids, and margins, Typography and font management, Creating brochures, catalogs, and flyers, Setting up files for multi-page documents.
Module 3: Image Editing and Graphic Preparation: Image resolution and file formats (TIFF, PSD, JPEG, PNG), Color correction and retouching in Adobe Photoshop, Clipping paths and image masking, Image scaling and cropping techniques, Working with layers, filters, and effects, Ensuring print-ready images and embedded profiles.
Module 4: Pre-Press File Preparation and Proofing: Understanding bleed, trim, slug, and safe zones, Creating print-ready PDFs and packaging files, Imposition techniques and sheet layout planning, Pre-flighting and error detection tools, Soft proofing vs hard proofing, Raster Image Processor (RIP) overview.
Module 5: Color Management and Printing Standards: Color calibration of monitors and printers, ICC profiles and color consistency across devices, Spot color vs process color handling, Working with Pantone Matching System (PMS), Standard printing guidelines (ISO, G7, GRACoL), Troubleshooting common color issues.
Module 6: Output Systems and Final Production: CTP (Computer-to-Plate) and film output systems, Plate-making processes and materials, Understanding registration marks, crop marks, and control bars, Coordination with press and production teams, Safety practices and quality control in pre-press, Final project and practical assessment of pre-press workflow.
